We’re here to help you take the next step with building your confidence.

Depending on your goals, support might include:

​

  • Language and literacy programs​

​

  • Help finding and enrolling in childcare, including assistance with some costs​

​

  • Financial support to help cover training costs and any essential study materials

​

  • Driving lessons and help with your licence application​

​

  • Referrals to services such as financial counselling, mental health support, parenting help, or family and domestic  violence services​

​

  • Training courses through your local TAFE or training provider​

​

  • Career guidance to explore your options and getting job ready

​​

Whether you're just starting to think about your future or ready to take action now, Parent Pathways is here to support you—at your pace.

Are you Eligible?

You may be able to take part in Parent Pathways if you:
 

  • Have a child under 6 years old

​

  • Are currently not in paid employment

​

  • Live in a region of a  provider.

​

  • Receive one of the following payments:

    • Parenting Payment

    • Carer Payment

    • Special Benefit
       

You might also be eligible if you're not receiving a Centrelink payment and are:
 

  • Under 22 years of age

​​

  • A parent without a Year 12 qualification

​​

  • A First Nations parent or carer
