1. Do I have to take part in Parent Pathways?
No. Parent Pathways is completely voluntary.
You're welcome to join, pause, leave, or return whenever it suits you.
We're here when you're ready.
2. Is it only for parents or carers looking for a job?
Parent Pathways is focused on your individual circumstances.
You can work with your mentor to identify skills, experience and qualifications to help you plan for your future.
You can also get support to find a child care centre or referral to support such as financial information services and family and domestic violence support services, access language or literacy programs, or connect with training, such as a short course at a local TAFE.
3. Can I bring my child to my appointment?
Yes.
Your appointments might be over the phone, in person or online, and your children are
always welcome to attend.
The service is family friendly so if you need to reschedule or cancel appointments,
that’s okay.
4. Can Parent Pathways help me further enhance my skills?
Yes.
Parent Pathways mentors provide personalised support, such as advice about what you might like to do, or practical help to achieve a particular goal.
Through Parent Pathways you can get help to achieve your personal, study or work goals.
Whether you need help to find the right course, just need advice, or are looking for financial assistance to help you reach those goals – there is a range of support available to you.
5. What if I choose to leave?
Parent Pathways is a completely voluntary service.
You can choose to leave, take a break, or come back at any time.
We are here to help you!
